LAHORE - I am Pakistan Movement (IPM), the worldwide movement which aims to motivate Pakistani nationals living abroad to donate for the construction of the Diamer-Bhasha dam, has been sorting itself out and mobilizing its members with an effective and improved approach.
Reportedly, the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar is expected to visit eight countries for attending many fundraising events next year in March.
Meanwhile, IPM’s founder Ahmad Syed asserted that the construction of the dams was the need of an hour and if effective measures were not taken immediately, the country could face water scarcity by 2025.
Moreover, IPM president for Pakistan Nayyar Rizvi claimed that if every overseas Pakistani donates about $1000, then sufficient funds would be available to construct the dams before the deadline.
He further said that IPM representatives have been spending their own money in the fundraising tours abroad.
