Shehbaz Sharif meets Bosnian President

LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Saturday met Bosnian President Bakir Izetbegovic at Ataturk Airport Istanbul before his departure for Pakistan.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations came under discussion, a handout issued here said.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that brotherly ties and friendship existed between Pakistan and Bosnia, however, there was a need to take speedy steps for promoting economic cooperation between the two countries.

He said Pakistan and Bosnia had to promote cooperation by keeping a close contact in trade and economic fields.

Economic bonds of both the countries could be improved with maximum exchange of trade delegations, he added.

Bosnian President Bakir Izetbegovic said that Pakistan was an important country of Islamic world, therefore, solid steps would be taken for the promotion of relations with it.

Later, Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif left Turkey for Pakistan.

Talking at Ataturk Airport, Shehbaz Sharif said that his successful visit to Turkey would leave a positive impact on the ties of both the countries. He said that whenever he visited Turkey, he received more love and affection than before. He said that meetings with Turk President and Prime Minister remained useful.
