ISLAMABAD – The Corona Task Force has proposed to extend the closure ofschools in the wake of an increase in coronavirus cases.
In an interview with 92 News’ Program 92@8, Dr Attaur Rehman said thatcoronavirus is increasing at a fast pace and deaths could increase incoming days. “There is no medicine for coronavirus and vaccine is onlymeant for protection,” he said.
He advised the government to ban public gatherings and strictly maintainsocial distancing in air travel.
Dr Attaur Rehman said that it was wrong impression the variant coronavirusin the United Kingdom had reached Pakistan. “I had stated that such virushave been found whose genes have undergone changes, but they are differentfrom the virus in Pakistan,” he said.

He said that coronavirus was continuously changing and a study was beingconducted. “Coronavirus is first time changing its shape, which is a matterof concern,” he said.
