ISLAMABAD – PM Imran Khan has revelaed the secrets of development plans,Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that they will have to quit thepolicy of relying on others.
Addressing the concluding session of the two-day Envoys Conference onEconomic Diplomacy, the prime minister said that the nation needs to changeits mindset of depending on others and make coordinated national efforts toconvert the current challenges at different fronts into opportunities.
Imran Khan said that the previous rulers of mindset have damaged thecountry through foreign debts. He said that since a fraudulent mindset hadcaused huge loss to it, adding that it needed to change mindset forovercoming the current financial crisis.
The premier has also directed the foreign office and envoys posted abroadto rise to the occasion and promote soft image of Pakistan abroad throughproactive economic diplomacy. “The need for eliminating hurdles in the wayof foreign investment in the country,” he stressed.
PM Khan appreciated the Foreign Ministry for organising the conference andsaid a nation rises only when it starts believing. He urged envoys to playtheir role in checking money laundering as the government is committed toeliminate this menace.

“We are mocked when we speak of national honour. Where Pakistan standstoday, I believe that this is a great opportunity for us.” He saidPakistani embassies abroad should extend every possible assistance andcooperation to Pakistani workers and diaspora convincing them to invest intheir home country.
The prime minister said that the need for dynamic efforts to enhanceexports and Pakistani envoys should explore new avenues like Africa andLatin America for Pakistani products. He said Pakistan is a fertileterritory for investment making it the most attractive place for business.
