The Federal Cabinet has decided to place on the exit control list the names of all 172 suspects named in a joint Investigation Team’s report in the fake Bank Accounts Case.
Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the Meeting.
While briefing journalists about the meeting, the Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad said the Cabinet also accorded approval to the proposal for holding Provincial Assembly Elections in Former FATA by June next year.
He said any doubts on the ongoing Accountability Process will be removed in the coming days.
Referring to the JIT report submitted in the Supreme Court on Money laundering through fake Accounts, the Federal Minister said the report identifies the Government resources used in the process.
Speaking on FATA, the Minister said the Provincial Assembly Elections in the Tribal Areas will be held in June next year.
He also lauded the sacrifices of people of tribal areas in war against terror. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to bring the people of FATA into the mainstream at the earliest.
The Minister further said the Security situation in Karachi also came under discussion during the Cabinet Meeting. He said there have been attempts to disrupt the peace in Karachi and murder of MQM Leader Ali Raza Abadi also points in that Direction.
He said Pakistan’s Economy is closely connected with peace in Karachi and Government will never allow anyone to disrupt the peace achieved in Karachi.
Fawad Chuahdry said past situation in Karachi was being manipulated through England, but recently gang from South Africa have been uncovered.
He said the issue will be raised before both the South African and British Governments.
The Federal Minister said Cabinet lauded the efforts of Federal Investigation Agency’s Efforts.
He said there have been complaints of CCTV Cameras installed in Karachi are not in working condition while Million were spent on them. State Minister for Interior has been Directed to probe the matter.
Fawad Chauhdry said Mobile Phone Registration can be done after 15th January but with 10 percent tax. He said the government wants the development of Mobile Phones Industry in Pakistan.
During the Press Conference, the Federal Minister said Mobile Phone service will restored in South Waziristan and Makran.
He further informed that reserved seats for women in senate and national assembly will be increased.
He said a technology task force has been constituted which will be headed by doctor ata ur rehman.
Fawad chaudhry said in the first step, the Prime Minister House will be converted into Darul Hikma. In the Second Step, it will be upgraded to a University.
