CENTURION – Pakistan Cricket team coach Mickey Arthur has reportedly hurledabuses at the senior players of the Pakistan cricket team after collapse inthe Centurion Test.
Reports of a clash between Pakistan cricketers and coach Mickey Arthursurfaced Thursday night in the dressing room following the end of thesecond day of the first Test against South Africa in Centurion.
According to reports, Arthur lost his cool with the senior players afterPakistan’s dramatic collapse in the closing hours of the day’s play. Thetourists slipped from 100 for one at tea to 190 all out, at one pointlosing five wickets for 25 in 11 overs.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed failed to score any runs; Azhar Ali was out for aduck too, while Asad Shafiq managed to score just six runs, leaving thetail exposed to the destructive South African pacers who bowled outPakistan for 190.
Arthur reportedly lashed out at the three batsmen, hurling abuses at themand throwing things around in the dressing room in frustration.
Sources said that Arthur told the players they played wrong shots and losttheir wickets irresponsibly.
