Special Assistant to Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that the PML-Nis making a strategy to use all available options to restore HamzaShahbaz’s government in the Punjab province.
Speaking jointly outside the party’s Model Town office, PML-N leaders AttaTarar and Azma Bukhari said the PML-N Parliamentary Consultative Group hasdecided to go till the end to ensure that the public mandate will not beaffected in any case.
They said that they have multiple options with them to regain Punjab’sgovernment.
“We played our role for democracy and public mandate in a peaceful manner.A resolution was passed to complete the Punjab Assembly’s term,” AttaullahTarar said.
He said the meeting consulted on file a no-confidence motion against thechief minister or instructing the governor to ask the provincial governmentto seek a vote of confidence. He said that Hamza Shehbaz will hold ameeting with a PPP delegation tomorrow and will discuss the no-confidencemotion.
Tarar said political and legal options should be used and assemblies shouldnot be dissolved. He said that imposing Governor’s rule was an option andconsultations are being held.
