ISLAMABAD: Analysts and Indian Journalist on Wednesday hailed the foundation stone laying of the Kartarpur corridor as the “beginning of a new chapter” in India-Pakistan ties and said it would open new chapters of cooperation and trust building between two nations.
Defense Analyst Lt Gen (Retd) Raza Muhammad Khan, talking to he said, opening of Kartarpur border has a great significance for Sikh community living all over the world, adding , the continuation of such gestures is imperative to bridge the gaps between two countries.
“We have always desired to normalize the relation between Islamabad and New Delhi however India is habitual of sabotaging peace initiatives taken by Pakistan”, he said.

The relation between India and Pakistan are very complex and such friendly gestures would help in normalizing the ties between two countries, she mentioned.
She further said both the country should move forward, stop criticizing and blaming each other.
Sincere efforts are required to defuse tensions and improve bilateral relations, said, adding, all regional issues must be resolved through dialogues.
Indian Journalist Vinod Dua also lauded said, it is a very appreciable initiative and we all should welcome this friendly gesture taken by the government of Pakistan.
The establishments of India and Pakistan have their own interests but a common man of two countries wants to ease and normalize the ties, he highlighted.

IR Expert Dr. Farooq Hasnat , the government of Pakistan gave priority to the religious sentiments of Sikh community and took this bold initiative to facilitate the Sikh community to perform religious obligations.
