LAHORE – New developments reported in Maryam Nawaz bail plea in Lahore HighCourt.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday adjourned the bail plea hearing ofPakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in ChaudhrySugar Mills case till tomorrow.
A two member bench of the LHC headed by Justice Baqir Najfi heard the bailplea of Maryam Nawaz. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submittedreply with as per clause over the case.
The petition was filed by filed by Amjad Pervez and Azam Nazeer. In thepetition, Maryam has pleaded with the court to release her on bail as herfather is unwell and undergoing medical treatment at Lahore’s ServicesHospital.
The PML-N leader also adopted a stance that she has to take care of herfarther and her presence with ailing father is necessary.
During the hearing, the Maryam’s lawyer argued that the NAB has completedits investigation from her and now she is on judicial remand. On reply, thecourt remarked that read the reply of NAB and then argue on the point.
