WASHINGTON – The United States has called upon Saudi Arabia to hold atransparent investigation into the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Talking to reporters while travelling to Prague on Sunday, US Secretary ofDefense Jim Mattis said that in his meeting with Saudi Foreign MinisterAdel al-Jubeir during a conference in Bahrain on Saturday.

He discussed the killing and got assurance from the Saudi foreign ministerfor a transparent investigation into killing of Khashoggi.
