The Commission for Privatization has halted PIA from entering into any newcontracts.
According to sources, the process of PIA’s privatization will be completedby February. It is stated that PIA will not engage in any long-termcontracts until March 2024. It has also been disclosed that PIA has beenprevented from acquiring planes on lease.
As per sources, no final flight schedule beyond March 2024 will be devised;future plans will be made after the privatization of PIA.
