The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided not to extend the deadlinefor filing tax returns; however, the concerned commissioner may provide anextension upon prior request.
According to the details, the FBR has set the deadline for filing incometax returns as September 30, with no extension planned.
However, an extension of up to 15 days may be granted upon a previousrequest from the concerned commissioner.
According to FBR officials, so far, more than 1.7 million individuals havefiled their tax returns, and it is possible to exceed the income taxthreshold of 2 million by September 30.
