Bangladeshi skipper Shakib Al Hasan to retire?

Bangladesh cricket team’s captain, Shakib Al Hasan, has made an announcedabout his retirement.

The Bangladesh team has arrived in India to play in the World Cup, whereShakib Al Hasan will lead and play warm-up matches against England and SriLanka. Bangladesh will play their first match in the World Cup againstAfghanistan on October 7.

Shakib Al Hasan has stated that he will bid farewell to internationalcricket after the 2025 Champions Trophy and continue playing T20 cricketuntil the 2024 World Cup.

All-rounder Al Raounak mentioned that he might retire from all formatssimultaneously. It’s worth noting that Shakib Al Hasan has captained in allformats but has yet to secure an ICC title. He has scored over 11,000 runsin all formats and has taken more than 600 wickets.
