PM Imran Khan responds over Chaman bomb blast

ISLAMABAD – Three people, including a local leader of JUI-F, MaulanaMuhammad Haneef, were martyred and fifteen others injured in a bomb blastin Chaman area of Balochistan on Saturday.

The injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital Chaman.

According to police sources, the bomb was planted under a motorbike. Theblast also damaged several nearby vehicles and motorcycles.

Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi has condemned the Chaman blast andexpressed his deep grief and sorrow on the death of JUI-F leader MaulanaMuhammad Hanif and others.

In his message, the President expressed his condolence to the bereavedfamilies.

He said the culprits are the enemies of peace and development ofBalochistan.

The President also directed for provision of best medical facilities to theinjured persons and prayed for their early recovery.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the blast in Chaman today.

In a statement, he expressed deep grief over the loss of precious livesincluding JUI leader Maulana Muhammad Hanif in the incident.

He also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for earlyrecovery of injured. He also directed to provide all possible treatment tothem.

Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmed Shah has also strongly condemned the blast inChaman, and reiterated the government’s resolve to thwart any conspiracyimpeding the development of Balochistan.

In a statement, the Minister expressed heartfelt sorrow and condoled overthe loss of innocent lives and property in the blast.

He said the ongoing development in Chaman is haunting the anti-stateelements and the attack was an attempt to undermine the determination oflaw enforcement agencies.

Ijaz Shah said the elements involved in the terrorist attack would be takento task.

He resolved that the government would continue the development worksincluding the trade as well as border security management.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has also strongly condemned thebomb blast in Chaman.

In a condolence message, he expressed deep grief over the loss of precioushuman lives in the blast and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
