India reacts over China’s strong response at the UNGA against India over Occupied Kashmir

NEW DELHI – India reacts over China’s strong response at the UNGA againstIndia over Occupied Kashmir, Indian media had reported.

India termed the top Chinese diplomat’s UNGA speech an attack on its‘sovereignty and territorial integrity’. New Delhi insisted that thedisputed Himalayan territory was its ‘integral part’, urging all nations torespect its ‘sovereignty and territorial integrity’.

“We expect that other countries will respect India’s sovereignty andterritorial integrity, and desist from efforts to change the status quo,”India’s external affairs ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said onSaturday. He also called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects‘illegal’.

Referring to the Indian government’s illegal and unilateral move ofrevoking Occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s semi-autonomous status, Kumar saidthe recent developments were entirely a “matter internal to us”, *IndiaToday* reported.

Addressing the 74th session of UN General Assembly on Friday, Wang Yi hadcalled for effective management of the Kashmir issue. He also stressed thatno actions should be taken that would unilaterally changing the “statusquo”.
