ISLAMABAD – Customs officials have again raided a compound in the Islamabad.
Officials on Friday recovered 12 more luxury vehicles parked outside awarehouse on Kuri Road near Bani Gala police station in Islamabad.
They had recovered carslinkbelonging to the Qatari ruling family earlier in the day from the sameplace. Officials said they had confirmed Qatari ownership from the managerof the warehouse.
According to customs documents, at least Rs4.5 billion in import duty onluxury vehicles recovered from a compound in Rawalpindi were waived from2012 to 2018.
As many as 330 luxury cars were illegally imported over a period of sixyears out of which 233 were brought to Pakistan at the behest of of Jassimfamily.
