Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar held one-on-one talks withChief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir ahead of an importantmeeting of the apex committee of the Special Investment FacilitationCouncil (SIFC) at PM House in Islamabad.
The SIFC meeting is being held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabadwith Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in the chair.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, chief ministers, federalministers and other senior officers are participating in the meeting.
The participants are being briefed about the progress and initiatives ofSIFC in the meeting.
They are also being briefed about investments from friendly countries andOne Window operation as important decisions are likely to be made in themeeting.

Earlier, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq welcomed COAS General Asim Munir atthe Prime Minister’s House.
A one-on-one meeting was also held between the prime minister and the armychief during which discussion on the internal situation of the country andborder security issues came under discussion.
The prime minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, and heexpressed confidence in the operational preparations of the armed forces.
