The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaflink (PTI) has approachedthe Supreme Court, asking it to direct concerned authorities to hold elections link in the 90-day periodafter the assembly’s dissolution, during which electionslink are to be held as per theConstitution.
In a petition filed by PTI Secretary General Umar Ayoub Khan throughAdvocate Ali Zafar, the PTI has requested the apex court to direct thePresident of Pakistan to announce the date of elections within 90 days.
The petitioner also requested the apex court to issue instructions to thegovernors of the four provinces for holding elections within the stipulatedtime frame.
