MUMBAI – Five people have been died after a 12 seater chartered plane at anunder construction building at Sarvoday Nagar area of Ghatkopar (West) inMumbai on Thursday.

The pilot, two engineers, a technician on board of the ill-fated plane anda pedestrian died in the crash, said aviation regulator DGCA in astatement. Their bodies were charred.

According to the Indian media, the chartered plane was owned by state UttarPradesh. The parts of the plane showed a logo of Uttar Pradesh government.

A team of officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)rushed to the crash site for an investigation, an official said.
