*ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court Deadline set for mobile phone companies to findan alternative tax collection mechanism ends tonight.*

Consumers have been enjoying tax free mobile credit since June 13 after theSupreme Court order.

The cellphone service providers and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) didnot charge the approximately 40% tax on mobile phone top-up cards for twoweeks.

It’s uncertain whether mobile phone users will receive 100% credit balancefrom Friday onwards.

Cellular networks have remained silent on this matter.
