ANKARA – Turkish scientists have made a significant improvement for thetreatment of cancer.
Professor Sinan Anlas told Turkish media that the poison of Paederus beetlewill be a “ray of hope” for cancer treatment.
He said that first findings are extremely promising.
A group of academics from Turkey”s Manisa Celal Bayar University,supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey,for the past three years have been working on a project that studies theeffect of beetles on agriculture, ecology and medicine.

During the study it was found out that the life of mice with various cancertumors was extended after this substance was given to them.
