The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved a proposalof Power Division regarding the release of subsidy for the supply of 100percent RLNG to export oriented industry for the month of March last year.

The meeting presided over by the Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarinin Islamabad today (Wednesday) also decided to form a sub-committee toreview the power subsidies provided to export oriented sectors, with adirection to submit a comprehensive proposal before the ECC.

The ECC also constituted a sub-committee on Power Divisions proposal torelease the first installments of payment to the Independent PowerProducers.

The committee also approved various Technical Supplementary Grants.
