Pakistan DGMO called up his Indian counterpart on Hotline, warn over calibre escalation at LoC

NEW DELHI: Pakistan DGMO, Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, called up hisIndian counterpart Lt-General Anil Chaihan on Friday evening.

Pakistan in unscheduled talks over the hotline said that Indian securityforces had resorted to “unprovoked firing and calibre escalation” along theLoC, Times of India has reported.

“Lt-Gen Chauhan stated that firing by Indian troops has only been carriedout in response to Pakistani fire, an Indian officer.

Pak DGMO told his Indian counterpart that violation by Indian Army isunacceptable and the Pakistan Army will continue to take all retaliatorymeasures,” he added.

Pakistan asked India to put an end to unprovoked ceasefire violations atLoC. Indian Army will continue with its strategy to “pro-actively dominate”the LoC.
