Pakistan and Russia decide to take bilateral relations to new levels

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Russia have agreed on the need to furthercapitalize the positive trajectory of the overall bilateral relations byexploring avenues for mutually beneficial two-way cooperation.

The agreement came during 13th Meeting of the Pakistan-Russia ConsultativeGroup on Strategic Stability in Islamabad today (Thursday).

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and Deputy Foreign Minister of RussiaSergey Ryabkov led their respective delegations at the meeting.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on prevailing regional andglobal security environments and their impact on the international armscontrol, disarmament and non-proliferation agenda.
