NEW DELHI – At a joint press briefing being held by India’s army, navy andair force, Air Vice Marshal RGK Kapoor welcomed Pakistan’s announcementthat it would release Indian pilot Abhinandan.

“The IAF is happy and looks forward to his return,” he said.

Maj Gen Surinder Mahal, the army’s spokesperson, said that the Indian Armyis committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
