ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s ambassadors abroad have been told to facilitateOverseas Pakistanis in obtaining National ID cards, Passport and Visas.
Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said this while addressing a video conferencewith Pakistani ambassadors in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman,Kuwait and UK.
The ambassadors apprised the Interior Minister about Overseas Pakistanisproblems relating to passports, visas and NADRA.
The Minister said Overseas Pakistanis are asset of the country and theirremittances play an important role for economic development of the country.
Ahsan Iqbal emphasized on facilitating people desirous to visit Pakistanand directed to make the visa fees affordable.
He also directed the Passport Office and NADRA to immediately solveproblems faced by overseas Pakistanis.
He also directed to establish a passport office in Madinah Munawwara.
