KABUL – Afghan Taliban plays havoc in attack on Police Base, Atleast 16soldiers including Police Chief killed.
At least nine police were killed in a Taliban attack in northern Baghlanprovince on Monday night, a security source confirmed on Tuesday.
Also, three policemen are missing, the source added.
The Taliban attacked a police base in Khawja Alwan in Pul-e-Khumri, thecenter of Baghlan, according to the source.
There are reports that 16 policemen were killed in the attack, includingcommanders. The Baghlan police have not yet confirmed the casualties.

The base is on the Baghlan-Samangan highway.
The Taliban took responsibility for the attack and claimed they stolepolice weapons and vehicles.
