Pakistan puts dialogue on hold with India

*DUBAI – Pakistan has put dialogues on hold with India due to internalsituation in India, it has been revealed.*

*“We have delayed our efforts to hold talks with India because we do notexpect any big decision from the present Indian leadership,” said FawadChaudhry, Federal Minister for Broadcasting and Information.*

In an interview with Gulf Newslink on Sunday, the minister said, it is not the right time for a dialogue withits arch-rival as currently the Indian politics is in turmoil. “It isuseless to talk to them (India) now unless there is some stability. We willmove forward once the new government is formed after the elections,” hesaid.

Prime Minister Imran Khan invited India on several occasions, includingduring his acceptance speech, in a bid to make peace afterthe electoralvictory, nevertheless, the nuclear-powered-neighbour did notgive any response, Mr. Chuadhry continued.

When asked which Indian leader will suit Pakistan more when it comes topeace talks — Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi, the minister said, “We willrespect any Indian leader and the party elected by the Indian people. And,we would like to move forward to hold dialogue with whosoever comes intopower in India.”
