ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have inched closerfurther.
Both brotherly states have agreed to constitute a joint committee forresolving the issues of Pakistanis languishing in the UAE jails at theearliest.
The agreement to this effect was reached during a meeting between SpecialAssistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human ResourceDevelopment, Zulfikar Bukhari and Dubai Police Chief Major General AbdullahKhalifa Al Mari in Dubai on Sunday.

It was decided that in future, the data of prisoners would be shared by thetwo countries before completion of their sentence to ensure their timelyrepatriation to their respective home country.
