Strong Israeli lobby behind Nikki Haley, reveals US Analyst

WASHINGTON – US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is the“greatest friend” of the Israel lobby in the US, which has the greatestinfluence over Middle East policy in Washington, says an American politicalactivist.

“Ignorant of most things outside of South Carolina, she simply mimics thepronouncements of any talking head or empty heads in the White House,” saidMyles Hoenig, who ran for the US Congress in 2016 as a Green Partycandidate.

“Clearly, Israel’s supporters are leading voices in the White House on allMiddle East policy, especially towards Iran, and one group she is enamoredwith is AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee,” Hoenig toldPress TV on Sunday.

“Haley’s entire argument at the UN regarding the Middle East is certainlynot credible. She ignores apartheid in Israel and praises the Saudicampaign against” countries in the region, he added.link>

UN Security Council envoys are set to visit Washington to see debrispurportedly from a Yemeni missile that reached deep inside Saudi territorylast year, with the US claiming that it was supplied by Iran.

The envoys will visit a military hangar in Washington on Monday, where USAmbassador to the UN Nikki Haley presented the remnants of an allegedIranian-made ballistic missile fired from Yemen on November 4 at the KingKhalid International Airport near the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

According to the US’s UN mission, Haley and her 14 council colleagues willalso lunch with US President Donald Trump.

On December 14, Haley presented what she claimed to be “undeniable”evidence, including the allegedly recovered pieces of the Yemeni missile, saying it proved that Iran was violating international law bygiving missiles to the Houthi Ansarullah movement. The Houthis have beenfighting back a Saudi-led aggression with allied Yemeni army troops andtribal fighters.

A few days later, she said that the UNSC could strengthen the provisions inResolution 2231, which was approved in July 2015 to endorse themultilateral nuclear deal with Iran, or adopt a new resolution banningTehran from all activities related to ballistic missiles.

Iran’s UN mission categorically dismissed Haley’s allegations against theIslamic Republic as “unfounded,” stressing that “this purported evidence… is as much fabricated as the one presented on some other occasionsearlier.”
