SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown marked by strictrestrictions is being observed on Sunday against the killing of twocivilians and injuries to many by Indian troops in Shopian district.
Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadershipcomprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
All shops and business establishments are closed in Srinagar, Shopian andother parts of the territory while public transport is off the road.
Meanwhile, the authorities have imposed restrictions especially inNowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Kralkhud, Maisuma, Maharaj Gunj and Safakadalareas of Srinagar to prevent anti-India protests.
The authorities also blocked the internet service across the district afterthe killings.
