LAHORE: (APP) The Lahore High Court (LHC) has transferred cases pending with the special courts constituted under Protection of Pakistan Act 2014 to anti-terrorism courts (ATCs).
In a letter to the federal government and ATC presiding officers, Member Inspection Team Tahir Sabir said that the matter was put up before the LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah who transferred the pending cases from defunct special courts to ATCs of respective areas.
The special courts constituted under Protection of Pakistan Act 2014 had become defunct after the act lapsed in July this year. A number of cases registered under the act were pending after the special courts become defunct.
