LAHORE – Imran Ali Yusaf, son in law of the former CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif gets the worst blow from the accountability court.

The accountability court on Saturday ordered authorities to confiscate the properties owned by former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law, an absconder in a mega corruption case.

The court issued heard order while hearing a petition filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking confiscation of Imran Ali’s properties in the Punjab Power Company scandal.

During the hearing, NAB prosecutor informed the court that Ali is accused of pocketing Rs12 million from Ikram Naveed, former CEO of Punjab Power Development Company (PPDC). The accused appeared before NAB in April this but has since then left the country, avoiding the investigations.

He added that Ali was summoned repeatedly but he did not show up, adding that arrest warrants were also issued for him.
