PEMRA suspends licences of 2 private TV Channels

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has suspended licenses of Din News for thirty days and Neo TV for seven days for levelling baseless allegations against an honorable judge of the Supreme Court.

 

In a statement issued today, PEMRA said the suspension will come into effect from the first of the next month. The two channels have also been fined one million rupees each. Such TV too has to pay this fine.

 

The channels will also air apology in clear words on resumption of their transmissions after the suspension.
