Ramadan 2017: Daily items prices shoot up on 1st Ramzan

The prices of daily-use items have gone up ahead of Ramazan, creating problems for the poor and common man.

Citizens said that daily-use items were being sold at high rates even in Sasta Ramazan Bazars.

They said that ‘baisan’ was available at Rs 140 per kg, date at Rs 133 per kg and lemon at Rs 170 per kg.

Apricot is available at Rs 175 per kg, apple at Rs 250 per kg, banana at over Rs 120 per dozen, they added.

Shopkeepers said that the prices of items have gone up in the wholesale market.
