ISLAMABAD: While giving two month deadline to those having fake Pakistani ID Cards, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar said that strict action would be taken against them in case of not submitting their ID Cards.
While addressing a press conference here at today in Islamabad, Ch. Nisar said that government has decided to re-verify all National Identity Cards within six months while two months deadline has been given to those having fake CNIC otherwise they would have to face imprisonment of 7 years.
Officers and personnel involved in issuing fake ID Cards and Passports would be sent to jail for 14 years imprisonment by government.
Ch. Nisar further added that issuance of fake ID Cards and Passports is issue of national security and Wali Muhammad case was not only single case as a large number of cases have been reported while ID Cards were distributed in previous government without any verification and no one even tried to speak out over the issue.
It is not the policy of federal government to return Afghan migrants forcefully however, Pakistan is trying to improve border management with Afghanistan.
