ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan hailed the decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to scrutinize foreign funding of Pakistan Peoples Party (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Imran Khan, in a statement issued by the PTI Central Media Department here, said the PTI as a political party had been making its foreign funding public before ECP. "So we welcome the belated ECP decision to send PPP and PML-N foreign funding for audit probe before the committee," he said.
He said the ECP had taken the decision with delay for scrutinizing foreign funding of the PPP and the PML-N. Information had already been out how Nawaz Sharif used the PML-N for money laundering and how the PPP got money from embassy in Washington DC, he alleged.
