KARACHI – Prime Minister Imran Khan accepts the request made by CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday held a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail at the Governor House to deliberate on the provincial affairs.
During the meeting, PM Imran approved the request of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on replacing IG Sindh Kaleem Imam.
According to sources, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also supported the demand for replacement of the IG. During the meeting, it was agreed to appoint one of the nominated officers as the new Sindh IG, while the premier was also apprised about the decisions and reservations of the Sindh Cabinet.
Meanwhile, development projects and other important matters are being discussed in the meeting. It is pertinent to mention here that the premier reached Karachi on a day-long visit today. Murad Ali Shah and Imran Ismail received him at the airport.
Following his meeting with the governor and the CM, the prime minister is scheduled to meet Pir Pagara at Kingri House.
Importantly, PM Imran Khan will not hold meeting with important ally, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
The MQM-P has confirmed the reports of not receiving any invitation to meet the prime minister.
