ISLAMABAD: (APP) Work on the construction of Gomal Zam irrigation project is in progress in South Waziristan agency and it will be completed by the end of next year.
According to Radio Pakistan, the project is jointly funded by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and USAID.
The project is being completed at a cost of over Rs 3 billion by next year.
After completion of the project, 191,000 acres of barren land in Tank and D.I. Khan districts will come under cultivation.
