ICIJ apologizes from PM Nawaz for mentioning his name in Panama Papers

ISLAMABAD: International Consortium of Investigative Journalist (ICIJ), which revealed off shore companies in Panama Papers has apologized from PM Nawaz for mentioning his name in Panama Papers by mistake.

 

As per details, while apologizing over mentioning PM Nawaz name in Panama Papers, ICIJ has removed all the news regarding name of PM Nawaz in Panama Papers from its website.

 

ICIJ said in its explanation that it was the mistake of typing to mention name of PM Nawaz in Panama Papers so they apologize over their mistake.

 

Hassan and Hussain Nawaz names are mentioned in Panama Papers holding off shore companies, however name of PM Nawaz was mentioned in the list by mistake.

 

According to the sources, a complaint letter was written by PML-N Member National Assembly Danial Aziz to ICIJ over the name of PM Nawaz in Panama Papers. After reviewing the letter, ICIJ decided to remove PM name from its website.

 

Danial Aziz identified the mistakes made by ICIJ in its report and mentioned PM Nawaz name in Papers saying that PM Nawaz name had been mentioned in Panama Papers as owner of off shore companies.
