ISLAMABAD – Ministry of Law and Justice on Friday has sent the proposal ofNational Accountability Bureau Amendment Ordinance 2019 to Prime Minister(PM) Office.
The summary will be presented in the Federal Cabinet meeting for approvalafter which, it will be forwarded to President Arif Alvi for furtherprocess.
The proposal stated that the anti-graft watchdog will be able to takeaction against corruption of over 500 million rupees.
No action will be launched against government employees in case ofdepartmental deficiencies, it read.
The proposal further added that the assets of government workers cannot beseized unless directed by the court.
If NAB inquiry is incomplete after three months, the detained publicservant will have right of bail.
