Saudi Arabia government lashes out against Iran over nuclear program violation: Report

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia government lashes out against Iran over nuclearprogram violation.

Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers condemned on Tuesday Iran’s violationsof international agreements related to its nuclear program, reported theSaudi Press Agency (SPA).

The condemnation came in the Council of Ministers session on Tuesday,according to SPA.

In November, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced Iran will resumeuranium enrichment at its Fordow plant. Rouhani added Tehran will startinjecting uranium gas into 1,044 centrifuges, which was considered thelatest step away from the 2015 nuclear deal.

Last week the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UnitedNations’ nuclear watchdog, said it had detected uranium particles at anundeclared site in Iran in its latest report on the country’s nuclearprogram.

Saudi Arabia has previously called on Iran to fully cooperate with theInternat-ional Atomic Energy Agency.

This came in a speech delivered in November by Prince Abdullah bin Khalidbin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and theKingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and internationalorganizations in Vienna.
