ISLAMABAD – Former media advisor to the fotmer Prime Minister Yusaf RazaGillani has been sentenced to nine years in jail.
An accountability court on Tuesday sentenced Mian Khurram Rasool, formermedia coordinator of the former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, tonine-year imprisonment in a case related to a bank fraud involving millionsof rupees.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs50 million on the convict. It hadearlier on November 22 reserved the verdict after hearing arguments fromdefence and prosecution sides.
