Khadija Shah, who was previously granted bail by the Lahore High Court,found herself back on judicial remand on Friday. This time, she was placedon a 14-day judicial remand due to her involvement in a riot outside RahatBakery on May 9.
The case was presided over by Judge Abher Gul Khan in an anti-terrorismcourt on Friday, during which the police had requested a physical remand.However, Judge Khan opted for a judicial remand, directing her to be sentto jail.
Khadija Shah, a well-known fashion designer, had been in custody since May,following violent protests that erupted nationwide after Imran Khan’sarrest.
On October 18, she was granted bail by the Lahore High Court, which foundno evidence linking her to the vandalism at the corps commander’s house.
Nevertheless, she remained incarcerated despite her bail, prompting theLahore High Court to issue notices to the CCPO Lahore.
