ISLAMABAD – China aims to link Pakistan’s Gwadar with Central Asian statesthrough Railways link.
Chinese firms to execute dream project of linking Quetta, Chaman to Gwadarand Peshawar to Kabul and onwards to Kazakhstan through railway tracks.
Furthermore the Chinese government has approved construction of 58 schoolsin erstwhile Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), alongwith 30 hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing hassaid.
“Our forefathers belong to the region now known as the northern areas ofPakistan. Hence it is our top priority to develop these areas,” Jing saidon Saturday while addressing a seminar in Islamabad.
He underscored the need of peace and stability in the region so thatChinese firms execute dream project of linking Quetta, Chaman to Gwadar andPeshawar to Kabul and onwards to Kazakhstan through railway tracks.
Pakistan and China are working on 10 agriculture projects, Ambassador Jingsaid, urging Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to come up with proposalsto establish the 10 agriculture labs in the country through PlanningCommission and Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC).
