ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan will not relent inits moral, political and diplomatic support until the Kashmiris realizetheir legitimate right to self-determination in accordance with the UnitedNations security council resolutions.
In his message on Kashmir black day, the Prime Minister said the day markeda tragic day in the history of south Asia. He said this is the day Indiasent in its armed forces to occupy Jammu & Kashmir against the aspirationsand fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people as well as against allprinciples of international law.
The Prime Minister said for seven decades, India had occupied Jammu andKashmir in contravention of the UN security council resolutions thatordained the holding of a plebiscite to determine the wishes of theKashmiri people.
He said the recent UN report on Kashmir was an acknowledgment of Indianpolicies of occupation that included well documented human rightsatrocities. He called for immediate implementation of the recommendation toset up a UN commission of inquiry to investigate human rights abuses byIndian occupation forces.
He said the continued brutal suppression of Kashmiri people and recentsurge in killings of young Kashmiris required urgent action. The PrimeMinister said the valiant, brave and courageous people of Indian occupiedKashmir deserved the admiration of the world.
