Pakistan Transgender Act declared un Islamic by Council of Islamic Ideology

Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Tuesday deemed Transgender Act 2018un-Islamic.

The council said many sections of the Transgender Act are not in conformitywith Islamic teachings.

The council asked the government to form a committee to review theTransgender Act and the committee should consist of legal experts andreligious scholars.
