PM Imran Khan blasts Indian PM Modi’s extremism against muslims in UNGA Speech

NEW YORK – Prime Minister Imran Khan says the United Nations must urgeIndia to immediately lift the inhuman curfew in occupied Kashmir continuingfor over fifty days and release all the political detainees, including theyouth.

He was addressing the UN General Assembly session in New York on Fridayamidst repeated applause by the audience.

The Prime Minister said the world community has a responsibility to ensurethat Kashmiris get their right to self-determination as enshrined inseveral UN Security Council resolutions. He said it is not time to appeasea market of 1.3 billion people but to take concrete action to avert abrewing humanitarian crisis.

Imran Khan warned of serious consequences of a war between two nucleararmed countries. He said if a nuclear armed country fights to the end, theconsequences will go far beyond the borders.

The Prime Minister said if a conventional war starts between Pakistan andIndia, anything could happen. He said a country seven times smaller hasonly two choices; either to surrender or fight till end, and we will fightto the end.

Imran Khan said India’s fifth August illegal action about occupied Kashmiris in violation of the UN Security Council resolutions, Shimla Agreement,and its own constitution. He said Kashmiris will never accept revocationof the special status of the disputed territory. He said hundreds ofthousands of Kashmiris have been killed by the occupying forces and over11,000 women raped over the past 30 years. He said there are also two UNHuman Rights reports on the blatant Indian human rights violations in theheld valley.

Voicing serious concerns over the situation in occupied valley, the PrimeMinister said women, children and sick people are locked and being treatedas worse than animals. He said it is sheer arrogance that has blindedNarendra Modi. He said Modi is not cognizant of the situation when curfewis lifted. He said Kashmiris will come out of their houses in protest andthe 900,000 Indian troops in the held territory will shoot them, leading toa bloodbath.

Imran Khan said Indian Muslims, Pakistanis, Kashmiris and the entire MuslimUmmah are closely watching the grave situation in occupied Kashmir, andpersecution of oppressed Kashmiris will contribute to their radicalization.

The Prime Minister apprehended that a Pulwama like incident may take placeand India will blame Muslims and Pakistan for it; and the world shouldrealize this apprehension.

Imran Khan said the incumbent Indian government is a follower of RSS thatis a racist organization founded in 1925 and inspired by racial superiorityideas of Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini. This organization has itsbasis on hatred against Muslims and Christians. Racial superiority andhatred against others are its founding premise. This ideology of hatemurdered Mahatma Gandhi in 1948 and goons of RSS massacred thousands ofMuslims in Gujarat in 2002. He said Modi was put in black list of the US totravel there.

After assuming his office, the Prime Minister said his first priority wasto reach out to the neighbors, but unfortunately Modi never reciprocatedhis peace overtures. He said as a peace gesture we also returned India’spilot who was captured by Pakistan in response to Indian aggression inBalakot. He said India also tried to put Pakistan into the blacklist ofFinancial Action Task Force that is when we realized the agenda of the Modiregime.

Highlighting Pakistan’s role against terrorism, the Prime Minister said thecountry acted as a frontline state in war against terrorism. We renderedsacrifices of over 70,000 people and suffered an economic loss of 150billion dollars.

He said we were committed against the scourge of terrorism and dideverything to dismantle their structure. We decided that there would be nomilitant organization in Pakistan. He said though India accuses Pakistan ofterrorism, we ask the United Nations to send their observers to see forthemselves what Pakistan has done. We also started fencing the border withAfghanistan.
