ISLAMABAD: In a big economic success for PTI government and for Pakistan,Under PTI government Pakistan has been included in World Bank’s ‘Top-20improvers in Doing Business 2020’ list.
The WB on Friday issued a statement in this regard lauding the efforts bythe concerned federal and provincial governments who made it possible
“With 6 reforms, #Pakistan emerges among top 20 reformers globally in Easeof Doing Business. Rankings will be released on Oct 24. We laud theCOLLECTIVE action of Federal, #Sindh & #Punjab Govts for an impressivefeat. @investinpak @eodbpunjab @EODBSindh,” World Bank Country Director forPakistan, Patchamuthu Illangovan tweeted.

According to World Bank, “Pakistan improved in six areas measured by DoingBusiness—starting a business, dealing with construction permits, gettingelectricity, registering property, paying taxes and trading acrossborders—reflecting the country’s development of an ambitious reformstrategy including the establishment of national secretariat and PrimeMinister’s reform steering committee.”
