SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of stateterrorism martyred four more Kashmiri youth in Srinagar, Badgam andIslamabad districts today. They were killed during firing, cordon andsearch operations. These killings raised the number of martyred youth toeighteen since last Thursday.
These martyrdoms led to forceful protests and clashes between thedemonstrators and the Indian forces’ personnel in different areas of theKashmir Valley.
The protesters chanting pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-Indiademonstrations fought pitched battles with the troops and police personnelin Panzam, Srinagar, Kulgam, Islamabad and other areas. The demonstratorsalso waved Pakistan’s national flag.
Meanwhile, the Joint Resistance Leadership in a statement in Srinagar,today called for complete shutdown tomorrow against the killing spree andarrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists in the territory.
The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while addressing overtelephone from Srinagar an event on Kashmir held in Liverpool, UK, urgedthe members of Labour Party to champion the inalienable right toself-determination demand of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In Brussels, situation in occupied Kashmir was discussed during a specialdinner hosted in the honour of Pakistani Senators, Members of EuropeanParliament and Kashmiri delegations from Pakistan and UK.
